BELLY DANCE LESSONS You will learn proper belly dance posture, poise and a beginning belly dance choreography. Each movement is broken into smaller parts, drilled, then added to other movements to make small combinations. Eventually these combinations are applied to the intended music.
ATTIRE * Yoga pants or work out pants. *A sports bra, form-fitting tank top or form-fitting T-shirt. * A hip scarf to show off your lovely hip movements! See instructor to purchase one or to ask where to get one. Many times you can find a fringed shawl that will work.

ABOUT TALETHA: Taletha is a solo performer and instructor of belly dance (a.k.a Middle Eastern Dance, Raks Sharqi or Danse Orientale) in Louisville, KY. She began her Middle Eastern dance studies in February of 2003 and continues to hone her skills with workshops and classes. In addition to Raks Sharqi, her repertoire also includes Central Asian dance, the folk dances of the Middle East, American Cabaret style Belly Dance, and Gothic Belly Dance. She is also a member of the Middle Eastern folkloric and Central Asian dance troupe, The Crescent Moon Dancers. Taletha is currently the president of MEDSOK (Middle Eastern Dance Society of Kentuckiana) and maintains the official MEDSOK web site. In addition to her dance training, Taletha has also been a classical musician since childhood. She continues to perform and study classical music to this day. She credits her abilities in music interpretation to her many years of music experience. |
